French Art Deco Bronze Dore Ormolu and Marble Crystal Regulator Clock Garniture by Samuel Marti. Ornate clock set dating to right around 1900. Two colored marble is really beautiful. Ornate hand painted dial is superb. Movement is stamped with a Samuel Marti medal. After extremely careful balancing, I got the movement to run. I think that it needs basic cleaning service, but it is mechanically sound. Bronze shows some tarnish, but still looks decent and the lion is very shiny. Rear door glass panel was destroyed and both side glasses significantly chipped. Also two repairs to marble – one to a rear column, one to the top marble plate, shown in the last two photos. Both side pieces are perfect, no damage at all. Still an impressive clock set. The temperature compensated pendulum has real mercury. I will include a key.
